Today we had the joy of Cardinal Odilo Scherer of Sao Paulo among us, who presided over our Sunday Liturgy. Commenting on the Gospel of the day, he invited us to live the dimension of forgiveness as a strong link to fruitful evangelization and expressed great appreciation for our mission as Paulines, at the service of proclaiming the Gospel in the world of communication and at the service of the Church.
Next, Sr. Bruna Fregni and Dr. Riccardo Rossi presented the result of the study on the restyling of our Pauline Editorial Brand and the creation of an Institutional Brand for the Congregation. They also explained the motivations and values of this research, in the perspective of relaunching our mission in the 21st century. After the presentation we gathered in small groups to discuss this among ourselves and to formulate questions and reflections that were brought to the assembly.
In the afternoon we heard an enlightening testimony from Pauline Cooperator Fernando Geronazzo and Sr. Ninfa Becker. Fernando, who served on the commission that drafted the new Cooperators’ Statute, passionately explained the role of Pauline Cooperators in the Pauline Family.
In addition, Sr. Annunciata Bestetti, vice-postulator, updated us on the status of Maestra Thecla’s cause for beatification, urging us to make her known and to pray for her cause.
