Yesterday’s presentations by Sr. Nicla Spezzati and Sr. Salete Vernica dal Mago provided us with profound reflections on synodality, the service of authority, formation and community. We have carefully studied their talks with the intention to respond to the Spirit’s inspirations for our path forward.
Today we met again in four small groups to share our reflections on these topics and to discuss potential priorities for our future work. Afterwards we gathered in the full assembly where each group presented two priorities.
The priorities from today as well as those from the assembly on September 9th were gathered in a single document and will be given to every participant to pray and reflect on in order to discern which one seems to be the true priority that will move our planning forward for the next two years.
Later Sr. Anna Caiazza explained to the assembly the work that the superiors will carry out on September 14th, emphasizing the importance of an attitude of prayerful openness to the Spirit.
September 13th we will have the joy of making a pilgrimage to the National Sanctuary of Our Lady of Aparecida. We entrust this Interchapter to our Lady’s care, and we will carry in our hearts and in our prayers your intentions in this pilgrimage.
